Bri Is Real . . . I Promise

Bri Is Real . . . I Promise

Some of you have approached me with suspicions that Bri is, in fact, a fictional being. Asking bold, pointed questions like "if she was real, why doesn't she post.....ever?" or "prove it" (not a question, I know).

But dear readers, I assure you, Bri is as real as a wonderful beer.

She's wisely opted out of contributing to the writing here and participates only sporadically in our club chat. But every once in a while, she comes in hot.

Here's a glimpse at yesterday's back and forth.

Me: I got a stern lecture from The English Major about my book pick
Bri: Why? Has he already read it and hates it
Me: No, he's judging us (I presume you and I are similarly situated) for reading this before Huck Finn
English Major: Ahhhh, I was wondering. I don't think me asking if you'd even read huck finn was a stern lecture
Me: The look and sounds of disgust. That was a stern lecture.
Bri: I am surprised you haven't read Huck finn. I was homeschooled and I've read it.
Me: That feels very judgy. You should take that back. English Major gives enough snark.
Bri: I mean it's not judgy really just stating facts.

This, dear readers, is the nature of our group, and I sincerely love being a part of it.

She's real. Whether you choose to believe me or not.
